Scott E. Paterson

Director of Investigations

Scott Paterson retired in 1989 as a Senior N.C.O. after twenty-four years' of service in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Scott served in Alberta from 1965 to 1975 as a uniformed member, and for seven years on the Edmonton and Calgary Drug Section performing investigative and undercover duties. He was also on the Vancouver Drug Section from 1975 to 1985 where his duties consisted of joint operations with the Vancouver City Police and Street Law Enforcement as well as International Undercover and Conspiracy Investigations with extensive travels to the U.S.A. and Hong Kong.

Scott was in charge of the R.C.M.P. Undercover Unit from 1985 to 1987 with responsibility of coordinating U/C Operations throughout British Columbia. Scott was assigned to Vancouver Integrated Intelligence Unit and the National Crime Intelligence Unit a joint operation with the Vancouver City Police from 1987 to 1989.

Scott was in charge of a unit responsible for Investigating Motorcycle Gangs in British Columbia. Throughout Scott’s career he was also involved in extensive VIP Security and Protection Services. Scott has been with Security Resource Group Inc. since 1989. He is an active Investigator as well as his duties as Director of Investigations.

  IT Security Division

Brian Zerr

Director of IT Security

Brian Zerr brings over twenty years of experience in the IT industry to his position with SRG as Director of IT Security.

Brian began his career in the IT service and sales business with CDSL Canada Limited, filling many roles over his eighteen years there. He then moved on to a position as Delivery Executive for IBM Canada, where he managed and represented them in their Y2K initiatives.

From 1998 to 2005, Brian held a position with IBM as a Sales Executive and Territory Services Leader, where he was able to successfully motivate his sales team to great heights in excellence. Mr. Zerr joined Security Resource Group in 2006 in the position of Director of IT Security responsible for the over-all development and management of the division.

  Protective Services

John Cozman

Director of Protective Services

John Cozman brings over 20 years of experience in the Security industry to his position with SRG as the Director of Protective Services.

John began his career in the Security business with Regina Exhibition Park, filling many roles over his eighteen years there. He then moved on to accept a position of Security Manager with Sask Gaming Corporation where he managed the Security Department at Casino Regina. John then joined Securitas where he was the Branch Manager for Saskatchewan from 2003-2007.

In March 2007 John returned to Sask Gaming Corporation as the Manager of Surveillance Investigations for Casino Regina and Casino Moose Jaw.

John joined Security Resource group in October 2008 as the Director of Protective Services. John is responsible for the development and management of the division.

Jaisen Evans

Branch Manager – Winnipeg

In April 2008 Jaisen Evans joined SRG Security Resource Group Inc. (SRG) in the capacity of Branch Manager - Winnipeg. Jaisen brings almost 15 years of experience in the security industry to SRG.

Jaisen began his career in the security industry with the Hospitality Corporation acting as a security coordinator. Starting as a Security Officer in hotel and nightclub complexes Jaisen gained extensive first hand experience providing physical security services. Over the following years Jaisen enhanced his capabilities, becoming a Security Manager and overseeing the development and training of Security teams.

During his tenure with Hospitality Corporation the company changed its name to Canad Corporation. At that time Jaisen took on the duties of Hotel Manager, Nightclub Manager and Security Advisor to the company. He has also managed security for many events, concerts and festivals throughout Winnipeg.

In his capacity as Branch Manager, Jaisen is responsible for the overall management of the Branch including operations, human resources and business development. Jaisen’s extensive experience is a welcome addition to the SRG team.
