| The Institute of Advanced Police Techniques (A division of Security Resource Group) conducts a full range of police training and consulting services nationally and internationally.
The Institute, in 1990, pioneered a new and unique business concept in Canada, North America and world-wide. Recognizing the increased number of countries struggling through various stages of economic and social transition, the increased importance of responding to growing citizen-demands, as well as the increased significance and impact of cross-boundary issues, the Institute was developed by retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers.
They recognized a need for policing consulting services and at the same time, acknowledged a very creditable resource of trained persons, capable of responding to that need. The Institute was thus incorporated as a privately owned consulting company.
