Doug Emsley, MBA

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Doug Emsley is a co-founder of SRG Security Resource Group Inc. Doug is the former President of the Vision Group of Companies and a former member of the executive team for Securitas Canada. Doug has held senior positions in government and in the energy and mining sectors. He also served as special advisor and assistant principal secretary to the Premier of Saskatchewan. Doug is a recent recipient of a Diamond Jubilee Medal for his business and community involvement.

Blair W. Ross, C.Dir.

President and Chief Operating Officer
Blair Ross is a co-founder of SRG Security Resource Group Inc. Blair is the former Vice President of the Vision Group of Companies. Blair has 27 years’ experience in the private security industry. In those 27 years he has built and managed security operations from the ground up. He has managed the security personnel at large scale events (i.e. the Pan American Games in Winnipeg) across Western Canada.Blair is active in the community having Co-Chaired a high profile fundraiser annually in Regina; the Sandra Schmirler Charity Golf Classic. Blair is also a Regina Big Brothers Honorary Life Time Big Brother award recipient.Blair is a recent recipient of a Diamond Jubilee Medal for his business and community involvement.

Barry Rempel

Barry Rempel was appointed President & CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc. (WAA) in April, 2002. His leadership has resulted in strong financial performance and a renewed commitment to customer and community service by the corporation. The Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport is well-positioned for its airport redevelopment program, encompassing construction of a new airport terminal and future airport campus development.A native of Carman, Manitoba, Barry has some 35 distinguished years in the Canadian aviation industry. Prior to his appointment with Winnipeg Airports Authority, he was President & CEO of Tradeparks Development Corp., the land/business development subsidiary of the Calgary Airport Authority and served as Chief Executive for two of Canadian Airlines International operating divisions: Cargo and Canadian North. Barry has a strong commitment to the community, serving as a Director and Vice Chair on the Board of Travel Manitoba, and as a Director of The Associates of the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba, Canadian Airports Council and, most recently, CentrePort Canada. He is a Member of the Executive Committee of Airports Council International – North America, and was elected Chair of the Canadian Airports Council in April, 2008, serving until April, 2010. He served as Chair of The Associates of the Asper School of Business from November, 2006 to November, 2008. In March of 2009, Barry was appointed Chair of the University of Manitoba Transport Institute Advisory Board, and is currently a member of the Manitoba International Gateway Council and the Business Council of Manitoba.In January, 2007, he was appointed Honourary Colonel of the Canadian Air Force for 17 Wing Winnipeg, continuing to the current time. He also serves as a member of the elite Air Command Advisory Council to the Chief of the Air Staff (Canadian Forces). He was active with the Chambers of Commerce in Edmonton as well as Calgary, and has the distinction of being the only elected Chairman of both organizations: Edmonton in 1994, and Calgary in 2001. Barry also served on the Board of Alberta Economic Development, was a two-term President of the Northern Air Transport Association, and served as a Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce from 2003 to 2009.

Catherine Kloepfer

Catherine Kloepfer is Senior Vice President Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer for the Winnipeg Airports Authority.Born and raised in Winnipeg, Catherine began her career with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada in 1983 and then in 1984, she joined KPMG. While at KPMG Catherine progressed to become an Associate Partner until her departure in 2006, when she joined the Winnipeg Airports Authority. In her role with the WAA, Catherine leads the finance, human resources, purchasing, planning and information technology teams.Catherine has been a leader with many community organizations including: Western Canada Aviation Museum, Winnipeg Arts Advisory Council, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba, Manitoba Composers Association, Manitoba Historical & Scientific Society, Pan Am Games Association, Reh-fit Foundation and Economic Development Winnipeg. Catherine has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba, is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants and is a Certified General Accountant.

Grant Devine, Ph.D.,MBA

Grant Devine is a Rancher with a storied history of service. Grant served as the Premier of Saskatchewan from 1982 – 1991 leading the province masterfully through difficult economic times. Grant has received a great deal of recognition for his commitment and service to the people of Saskatchewan. Some are as follows: Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for Outstanding Public Service, December 2012, Honorary Chief, Saskatchewan Native Treaty Council Members, 2011, Saskatchewan Order of Merit, 2009, Fellowship Award, Agricultural Institute of Canada, Ottawa, ON, 1994,  International Alumni Award, Agriculture Alumni Association, Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio, U.S.A., 1988, Distinguished Graduate in Agriculture Award, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, 1986, Vanier Award, One of Canada’s Outstanding Young Leaders, JC’s of Canada, 1983. Grant Devine has or continues to serve on several Boards some of which are: Agrium Inc., Upton Resources, Live Global Bid Ltd., Seavision Resorts Developments Ltd, Canadian Western Agribition.

Theodore Renner

Ted Renner is president of Kiora Resources Inc., a private company engaged in resources development investments and investments in associated technology companies in the microbiology and bioremediation areas. Mr. Renner has been a chief executive officer of a number of public and private energy companies since 1982. He has also served as a director of Saskatchewan’s Petroleum Technology Research Council and has participated in the framing of energy policy discussions while serving as a past Chairman of the Canadian Energy Research Institute.An interest in public policy is reflected by his participation as a director of the Canada West Foundation, a past director of the Nature Conservancy of Canada, and as a past participant in the Business Council on National Issues.

Rick Watson

Rick Watson has primarily been involved in the John Deere Ag and Turf Equipment business since 1965. Watson Distributors Ltd. was founded at that time in Weyburn by his parents, Mel and Doreen. Rick and his wife Janet moved to Regina in 1978 when Watson Tractor & Equipment Ltd. began operation, serving Regina and area. In 2006 both the Regina and Weyburn operations were merged into a larger partnership of John Deere dealerships, and at that time Rick passed the “hands on” responsibilities to family and other partner managers. The partnership is known as South Country Equipment Ltd., and with the subsequent purchase of three more stores now operates in eight locations across southern Saskatchewan. Since the merger Rick has continued to manage the assets of Watson Tractor & Equipment Ltd., now primarily a holder of commercial real estate, as well as family farmland and other investments. In addition to serving on the Board of SRG, Rick is the Vice Chair of the Board of SGI and sits on its Audit & Finance, Governance & Human Resources, and Strategic Planning committees. He is also a member of the Independent Advisory Committee of Assiniboia Farmland Corporation and is a member of the Regina and Saskatchewan Chambers of Commerce. Rick and Janet live in Regina’s Lakeridge subdivision. They have four children, two of whom are on the management team and are partners in the John Deere operation, and five grandchildren.
